The Education Department will launch the M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership this fall--a program for practicing teachers who wish to pursue leadership roles in their school system.  The 36-credit hour program emphasizes current trends in school organization and management, integration of technology, and research-based principles of leadership.  Dean Palmer notes, "A distinguishing feature of the program is the self-designed study to address a school need.  The research sequence is intended to follow the two-semester practicum in the student's home school."  Designed with input from area educators, the majority of courses will be offered in an eight-week hybrid format, making this a convenient program of study.  Contact Carolyn Cook (mailto:cook@msmary.edu), Director of M.Ed.
