Each year Pi Lambda Theta, the Education Honor Society, sponsors an essay contest for freshmen and sophomore education students. The contest challenges students to address their educational philosophies, teacher and student roles, and instructional methods in a short essay. Along with their certificates, students receive cash prizes through the SEHS Dean's Fund for Excellence. This year's winners include Marie Dickson (freshman, first prize), Rachel Keifer (sophomore, second prize), Annisha Montgomery (sophomore, first prize), and Isael Ross (sophomore, second prize). Pictured left to right are Rachel Keifer, Maria Hitchcock, President of Pi Lambda Theta, Gamma Tau Chapter, and Marie Dickson. Missing from the photo are Isabel Ross and Annisha Montgomery.
Congratulations and thank you all for participating in the annual essay contest!
