Mount St. Mary’s University taps Chielli as new VP of Marketing and Communications
EMMITSBURG, Md. - Mount St. Mary’s University has hired Jack J. Chielli as vice president of marketing and communications.
Chielli’s main role will be to enhance the university’s brand and communication strategies to help bolster enrollment and retention. He will report directly to the university’s president, Timothy Trainor, Ph.D., and serve in his cabinet.

We look forward to Jack helping lead the Mount St. Mary’s University brand into the future.”

Prior to the Mount, Chielli served in the marketing and communications department at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. for 12 years, first as executive director of marketing and communications, and later as executive assistant to the president for government relations and associate vice president. During this time Chielli’s work on the university’s branding received awards and notoriety from the New York Times, National Public Radio and other news organizations.
Earlier in his career, Chielli held the role of executive director of communications for the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), located in Pittsburgh, as well as communications manager for the Controller of Allegheny County.
Chielli holds a Bachelor of Arts from Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. and a Master of Arts from Wilkes University.
