Christine Adamow, is a serial entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in taking technology concepts to market following an extensive career in academic medicine. Beginning her business career as an analyst at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Boston, she began developing her expertise as an innovator and turn around artist as a banking officer at U.S. Trust in Boston.

Her corporate career concluded as vice president of Anistics, in the actuarial unit of Alexander & Alexander, where she led a multidisciplinary team providing risk management consulting to global customers.

In 2001, Adamow was chosen as one of 24 entrepreneurs to present at Springboard, a national forum for women entrepreneurs seeking venture capital. In 2013 she presented again, this time focusing on her second clean energy company, Africa Biofuel.

Adamow is a published author in academic textbooks, a frequent global speaker on international development and clean energy, and is listed in Who’s Who of Professional and Executive Women.

Bringing her educational and professional experience to the classroom, Adamow uses innovation and creative critical thinking to show students how real-world problems can be addressed and solved through design thinking.

Previously, Adamow has taught and mentored students at several institutions, including Ringling College of Art and Design, American University, Boston University, Miami University (Ohio), Harvard University School of Medicine, and Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

She’s also incubated five student-designed startup companies, and holds several graduate degrees from Boston University, Columbia University School of Public Health and Framingham State University.
