Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology for Experimental (Job Search Status: Currently Accepting Resumes)
The Department of Psychology in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Experimental Psychology at the assistant or associate professor level starting August, 2013. A Ph.D. is the expected qualification, although ABDs will be considered at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and the ability to engage in peer-reviewed scholarship that encourages the involvement of undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include: Introduction to Psychology, Biopsychology, Experimental Learning, Sensation & Perception, Research Methods and Statistics, and other experimental psychology courses as needed, and responsibility for an active operant laboratory. Additional responsibilities include student academic and senior thesis advising, and working closely with students in developing independent senior research projects.
