Vice President for University Affairs

Pauline Engelstätter

As Vice President for University Affairs, Pauline Engelstätter oversees the Office of Human Resources, serves as the Recording Secretary for the Board of Trustees, and is the University’s Compliance Officer. Ms. Engelstätter shares Title IX compliance efforts with the Dean of Students. She serves as the chief executive with oversight of the attraction, retention and development efforts for the university’s workforce.

A highly experienced professional, she has served the Mount St. Mary’s University community for nearly 40 years with expertise in human resource management, compliance and logistics.

Engelstätter holds several professional affiliations including membership in the College & University Personnel Association (past president of the Baltimore Chapter) and the Association of Governing Boards. She is the recipient of the 2004 Mentor Award from the South-Central Pennsylvania Human Resources Symposium and enjoys her volunteer work within her parish and community.

She received an Honorary Degree from Mount St. Mary’s in May 2007, and received the Archdiocese of Baltimore's Medal of Honor in 2006. The Archdiocesan Medal of Honor is awarded to men and women in the Archdiocese of Baltimore in recognition of their outstanding service to the Archdiocese and their respective parishes.

She resides in nearby Fairfield, Pa. with her husband, Harald. They are the proud parents of three children and their first granddaughter, Ophelia.
