Learn More About the Mount Class of 2017
Mount St. Mary's University is excited to welcome 430 students to our class of 2017 and campus community! These students also represent the third highest academic achieving class in Mount history and the second largest minority class ever.
The class of 2017 was selected from an applicant pool of over 4,900. They come from 304 different high schools and represent 27 different states, plus the District of Columbia.
A majority of the students visited campus during their college search; in fact, the university welcomed 200 more Admissions visitors this year than last year. We are enrolling our largest cohort of home schooled students into this class with 18 students and with 44 transfers arriving this fall, this is the 2nd largest fall cohort of transfers the Mount has enrolled in over ten years. Over 70% of the transfer students hail from local community colleges.
Many of the students have a connection with the Mount that extends through immediate family members.
