Michael A. Post

Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs
Hometown: West Chester, Pa.

Bio: After graduating from Mount St. Mary's University with a BS in Psychology, Michael went on to earn his MS in Counseling from Shippensburg University in PA. Michael joined the Mount Admissions Office in 2008 after working as the Mount's Dean of Students. Now, he serves as the chief undergraduate enrollment planner and chief student affairs officer, and is responsible for providing leadership to the division of enrollment management and student affairs.

Favorite spot on campus: The Grotto at the top of our mountain. Michael has traveled to many locations, and he has yet to find a more peaceful and faith-filled setting.

When visiting The Mount, Michael recommends you... Say hello to everyone you see! You'll see for yourself that we are exactly who we say we are - a family.


Eric Danielson

Bio: Eric graduated from Gettysburg College in 2004 with a degree in Classical Studies. Before joining The Mount, he worked for over ten years at St. Bonaventure University, where he also completed a master's degree. Eric is excited to be back in the area and, along with his wife and son, lives in Mont Alto, Pa.

Favorite spot on campus: Bradley Hall - the home of the Admissions Office!

When visiting The Mount, Eric recommends... wearing comfortable shoes so that you can explore the entire beautiful campus.

Bio: Mary Catherine joined the Admissions Office in 1998 and especially enjoys working with transfer students. She lives in Gettysburg with her husband and two children.

Favorite spot on campus: Standing on Echo Field, looking up at the Seminary on a beautiful, clear, crisp fall day - it's an inspirational view!

When visiting The Mount, Mary Catherine recommends you see... The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, and make sure you stay for Mass!

Bio: Erin grew up near the Mount community, often attending Mass and cheering on the basketball team. In 2013, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from American University in international studies, focusing on global environmental policy. Shortly after graduating, Erin happily returned to The Mount community when she was offered a position in the Admissions Office. In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking in nearby Catoctin Mountain Park and volunteering at local farmers markets.

Favorite spot on campus: The Science Building! Erin loves seeing the solar charging station in front of the building, as well as the students and faculty coming together through science and innovation.

When visiting The Mount, Erin recommends you ... Attend an athletic event! The amazing school spirit at the Mount is something you need to experience firsthand.


Katie Sukeena

Bio: Katie earned her bachelor of arts degree in communications from Mount St. Mary's University. Shortly after graduation, she returned to The Mount to start a full-time position in the Admissions Office. She is happy to be back at her mountain home, and in her free time, Katie loves watching chick flicks, traveling with old friends, and listening to country music.

Favorite spot on campus: The residential quad outside of the apartments and Sheridan Hall on a nice day is always booming with campus life. It is a great spot to get some studying done, play a little beach volleyball, or just relax with friends.

When visiting The Mount, Katie says you shouldn't miss... stopping in Patriot Hall for one of Miss Bessie's famous cookies! Just one bite, and you won't want to leave!

Lara Truitt

Bio: Lara graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor’s in Spanish. She then moved on to earn her master’s in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She grew up near D.C., but has lived all over Maryland. She has enjoyed working in higher education for over seven years and loves working with prospective students and families to help them figure out their best next steps. In addition, she loves the Mount and the beautiful area in which it is located.

Favorite spot on campus: The Grotto – it is a place where you can find peace, re-center, and take in a breathtaking view.

When visiting The Mount, Lara recommends you...go to Patriot Hall and enjoy a meal! The food that the Mount offers is delicious and there is so much to choose from. Furthermore, the chocolate chip cookies are some of the best around.

Meet Frankie Dawson

Bio: Frankie graduated from the Mount in 2016 with a B.S. in business. After graduation, she became the assistant director of Campus Activities and Student Leadership after serving as a student leader there for several years. Recognizing the many joys within working in higher education, Frankie is pleased to be continuing her passion as an Admissions counselor. In her free time, she loves to cook, listen to the Jonas Brothers and kayak with friends!

Favorite spot on campus: 1808/Purcell Hall – a majority of Frankie’s Mount experiences and favorite student memories took place here; she has seen and meet 21 Pilots and won BIG at Bingo with her friends.

When visiting The Mount, Frankie recommends you ... visit the giant campus calendar McGowan, you will never have a bored day at the Mount when you see how much there is to offer on and off campus each week!

Meet Grant Henry

Bio: Grant grew up in a small town in south central Pennsylvania. He is a recent graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where he studied history and political science. Grant enjoys working with potential students and helping them realize their potential in higher education. In his free time he enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and traveling with friends.

Favorite spot on campus: Founders Plaza, on a beautiful day you can relax and enjoy the scenery that the Mount has to offer. It is a great spot to take in fresh air and spend time with friends.

When visiting The Mount, Grant recommends you ... stop by the Immaculate Conception Chapel, no matter how many times I go there it continues to take my breath away.

Bio: Josh graduated from Mount St. Mary's University in 2016 with a B.S. in Business and a B.A. in Communication. He chose The Mount because he was amazed by the natural beauty of the campus and welcoming atmosphere. He is happy to be back in the Admissions Office to share The Mount's mission with prospective students. In his free time, Josh enjoys playing baseball, visiting sports venues, watching adventure movies, and writing.

Favorite spot on campus: Founder's Plaza - This is the central spot of The Mount filled with campus life, especially when the weather is nice. It is a great place to study, eat lunch, and catch up with friends. It is also where major events are held, like the annual crab feast and outdoor concerts!

When visiting The Mount, Josh recommends you... listen to the music chiming from the Grotto five minutes before every hour. You will definitely feel at home when you hear the sound and watch our students walk to the next class or activity on our beautiful campus!


Theresa Mahoney

Bio: Theresa has served as the New York Metro Regional Coordinator since 2008. She and her husband, Kevin, have two children: Jimmy, a recent Mount grad, and Quinn, who is a Mount student. Theresa is often on campus for Admissions events and to bring Quinn care packages.

Favorite spot on campus: Founder's Plaza during the first weekend in June at Alumni Reunion Weekend! Hundreds of Mounties of all ages come back to this big annual event. When asked what first attracted them to The Mount campus, many say "There's just something about The Mount!" It is truly a special place.

When visiting The Mount, Theresa recommends... Admiring the beautiful land with its gorgeous foliage and lovely spots to sit alone or with friends!


Chrissy Berenato

Bio: Chrissy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in May 2016 with a degree in media and professional communications, and is currently working on her MBA from the Mount. In her free time, she likes to scrapbook, play guitar, cook, and travel. Mount tradition runs in her blood, as both of Chrissy's parents and many uncles graduated from MSMU. She is excited to get to experience the family atmosphere for herself!
