Senior Associate Director of Admissions/ Transfer Coordinator
Bio: Mary Catherine joined the Admissions Office in 1998 and especially enjoys working with transfer students. She lives in Gettysburg with her husband and two children.
Favorite spot on campus: Standing on Echo Field, looking up at the Seminary on a beautiful, clear, crisp fall day - it's an inspirational view!
When visiting the Mount, Mary Catherine recommends you see... The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, and make sure you stay for Mass!
Associate Director of Admissions
Bio: Michelle earned her bachelor of arts degree (English with secondary education certification) and masters of business administration degree from Mount St. Mary's University. Two days before her undergraduate graduation, she was offered a job with the Admissions Office and happily joined the staff. Michelle now coordinates our communications and social media strategies.
Favorite spot on campus: The Admissions Office, of course! Michelle encourages you to meet our Admissions team and tour our beautiful mountain campus with one of our friendly Mount Ambassadors.
When visiting the Mount, Michelle recommends you see... One of our Division I sports teams in action! Our facilities are amazing, and the Mount is known for its school spirit!
Associate Director of Admissions
Bio: Originally from the Pocono Mountains of PA, Eddie attended the Mount for his undergraduate studies and majored in sociology/criminal justice and theology. He received his master's degree in college student personnel administration from Canisius College and after three years, he returned to the Mount to share his experiences with high school students. Eddie lives in East Berlin, PA with his wife (Jen) and two puppies (Atiele and Misty).
Favorite spot on campus: The built-in BBQ pits in the apartment quad.
When visiting the Mount, Eddie recommends you... Walk around and see how many people stop and ask you if you need help finding something. Our community is close-knit and willing to answer questions from any visitors.
Assistant Director of Admissions
Bio: Hailing from New Jersey, Mark attended Mount St. Mary's University and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in history. A huge sports fan, Mark especially likes the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. Mark also enjoys anything associated with nerd culture, find the newest "hole in the wall" restaurant, and collecting baseball cards.
Favorite spot on campus: Patriot Hall because it is the central hub of the university-everyone has to eat, right? The buffalo chicken wraps are out of this world!
When visiting the Mount, Mark says you shouldn't miss... All of the athletic facilities at the ARCC, including fitness center training rooms, pool, track, basketball courts, racquetball, and tennis courts! The ARCC has everything you need to stay fit, and all of the facilities are available to Mount students!
Bio: Erin grew up near the Mount community, often attending Mass and cheering on the basketball team. In 2013, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from American University in international studies, focusing on global environmental policy. Shortly after graduating, Erin happily returned to the Mount community when she was offered a position in the Admissions Office. In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking in nearby Catoctin Mount Park and volunteering at local farmers markets.
Favorite spot on campus: The Science Building! Erin loves seeing the solar charging station in front of the building, as well as the students and faculty coming together through science and innovation.
When visiting the Mount, Erin recommends you ... Attend an athletic event! The amazing school spirit at the Mount is something you need to experience firsthand.
Bio: Katie earned her bachelor of arts degree in communications from Mount St. Mary's University. Shortly after graduation, she returned to the Mount to start a full-time position in the Admissions Office. She is happy to be back at her mountain home, and in her free time, Katie loves watching chick flicks, traveling with old friends, and listening to country music.
Favorite spot on campus: The residential quad outside of the apartments and Sheridan Hall on a nice day is always booming with campus life. It is a great spot to get some studying done, play a little beach volleyball, or just relax with friends.
When visiting the Mount, Katie says you shouldn't miss... stopping in Patriot Hall for one of Miss Bessie's famous cookies! Just one bite, and you won't want to leave!
Bio: Originating from nearby Baltimore, MD, Hershel graduated from Mount St. Mary's University is 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice and a minor in theology. An avid fan of his hometown, Hershel enjoys Baltimore sports teams, food culture, and historic sights. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and visiting new places.
Favorite spot on campus: The PNC Sports Complex because there is always a sporting event that gives you the opportunity to cheer on your favorite Mount athletic team.
When visiting the Mount, Hershel recommends you see... The Grotto because it is truly one of the most rewarding places on campus.
New York Metro Regional Coordinator
Bio: Theresa has served as the New York Metro Regional Coordinator since 2008. She and her husband, Kevin, have two children: Jimmy, a recent Mount grad, and Quinn, who is a Mount student. Theresa is often on campus for Admissions events and to bring Quinn care packages.
Favorite spot on campus: Founder's Plaza during the first weekend in June at Alumni Reunion Weekend! Hundreds of Mounties of all ages come back to this big annual event. When asked what first attracted them to the Mount campus, may say "There's just something about the Mount!" It is truly a special place.
When visiting the Mount, Theresa recommends... Admiring the beautiful land with its gorgeous foliage and lovely spots to sit alone or with friends!
