Phoenix Karate-do Association

Mount St. Mary’s University is the proud home to the Phoenix Karate-do Association Kyokushinkai International, of which the Mount Club is the founding member and serves as the Hombu. The Association trains in the powerful traditional Japanese style of Kyokushin Karate and is one of the oldest continuously active international groups headquartered in the USA.  Along with developing accomplished karate champions, the group prides itself on its educational mission focusing on members' potential for personal development.

All Phoenix branches hold a minimum of three gashuku a year.
The location of each gashuku is determined annually and posted for the membership.
