Fitness Center Programs

Outdoor Fitcamp

Outdoor Fitcamp is a small group training experience incorporating cardio-respiratory, strength training, and core exercises in each session. Workouts are held in an outdoor setting using body weight and/or portable equipment at various locations on the Mount's Campus. Modifications are offered allowing participants to work at their own pace. Limited to 10 participants in each the morning and evening sessions.

August 28 - October 4, 2018 (6 weeks) — Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Evening Outdoor Fitcamp

August 27 - October 4, 2018 (6 weeks) — Monday & Thursday 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Indoor Fitcamp - Circuit

Indoor Fitcamp-Circuit is a small group training experience incorporating cardio-respiratory, strength training, and core exercises circuit-style in each session. Workouts are held in the ARCC's Fieldhouse using body weight and/or portable equipment. Modifications are offered allowing participants to work at their own pace. Limited to 10 participants.


October 23 - November 29, 2018 (6 weeks) — Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-7:30 a.m

Sweat-N-Tread

Sweat-N-Tread is a small group fitness training experience held in the ARCC's PNC Fitness Center. The workouts consist of a 30 minute treadmill workout followed by 30 minutes of strength & conditioning work. Workouts change each class. Strength & conditioning exercises are performed using a combination of bodyweight, tubing, plates, and dumbbells. All levels welcome. Modifications offered.

October 22 - November 28, 2018 (6 weeks) — Monday & Wednesdsay 7-8 p.m.

Fitness Center Services

1 on 1 Personal Training

Begin with an introductory consultation which includes a baseline assessment, brief health appraisal, discussion of health and exercise history, and goal setting. Your workout program will be designed based on the information gathered. Training sessions are scheduled based on trainer/client availability.

Personal training is available to all Mount students, Mount community, and ARCC members. Email Lisa Martin to schedule your introductory consultation.

Fitness Center Orientations

Fitness Center Orientations are a basic introduction to the PNC Fitness Center's circuit weight equipment and the cardio machines. Trainers will teach you how to use the machines while focusing on proper settings, form, and technique. Orientations are free of charge one time only and are available to Mount students, Mount community, and ARCC members. Email Lisa Martin or call 301-447-3810 to schedule an appointment

Fitness Consultations

Fitness consultations include bio-metric screenings (body weight measurement, body fat & BMI analysis, circumference measurements, and blood pressure readings), goal setting, basic nutrition guidance and exercise program suggestions. Scheduled by appointment only.

Biometric Screenings
