End of Year Residence Hall Closing
Students must checkout of their residence hall or apartment within 24 hours of their last final exam or no later than Friday, May 12, 2017 at 4 p.m.
Seniors and Commencement Assistants:

Take responsibility for your room/apartment damage
► Fill out a Damage Responsibility Form (PDF) with your roommates and turn it into your RA.

Preparing for Checkout
Purchase any necessary cleaning supplies, moving boxes, packing totes, trash bags, etc.
Take personal items you no longer need home over Easter break and the last few weekends of the semester
Inform parents and family of the checkout deadlines so they can come to campus and assist with your move-out if needed.
Bring a hand truck and storage containers from home to ease and speed up your move-out process if needed.
If you live in a suite or apartment, remember to discuss who will clean the bathroom, kitchen and common room before students begin moving out.
For students who live far from campus, contact storage facilities early to arrange for storage of your belongings over the summer if needed.
Planning for move-out now can help to avoid difficulties and improper checkout charges!
Remove all trash, debris and all belongings from your room/apartment/suite before your checkout with your RA by the checkout deadline.
Clean your room/apartment/suite before you leave.
Complete all aspects of the checkout process by your respective deadline (May 12 at 4 p.m.; or May 14 at 6 p.m. for seniors and commencement assistants).
Put your residence hall keys in a checkout envelope and return it to your RA before you leave campus.
