All are welcome to attend this symposium of the Mount faculty that reflects on the history, mission, and charism of Mount St. Mary’s University. After a general reflection on the topic by Sean Lewis, Ph.D., a panel of faculty will begin a deeper conversation about our identity and place in Catholic higher education. Panel members include: Jessica Boyer, Ph.D., Alejandro Cañadas, Ph.D., Stacey Brown-Hobbs, Ph.D., Jessy Jordan, Ph.D., Sarah Krueger, Ph.D., Francis Lukban, Indrani Mitra, Ph.D., and Jay Phillips. The audience will be brought into the conversation, and the event will close by brief remarks by President Joyce.

The Mount community is invited to the Inauguration Mass. To concelebrate or vest for Mass, priests and deacons from outside the Archdiocese of Baltimore, as well as religious priests without resident faculties within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, must request a letter of suitability from their ordinary or superior. This letter should be sent to the Office of Clergy Personnel (clergy@archbalt.org; fax: 410-547-3152). All clergy are kindly requested to inform University Chaplain Rev. Justin Gough (j.a.gough@msmary.edu) of their intention to participate.
