Course Content

A bachelor of science degree with a major in accounting prepares you for a career in a broad range of organizational positions requiring accounting skills, though most students take the program to gain the skills and requirements necessary to sit for the CPA exam.

In this hands-on program you will work directly with financial statements and case studies to develop a thorough understanding of a firms financial activities and business position. You will also analyze financial behavior and discuss ethical decision making as it relates to accounting practice and procedure. Your accounting education at the Mount would not be complete without the examination of federal income tax laws and their application to individuals, a full understanding of the practice of auditing, and a solid two-course sequence in corporate finance.
