Rapid growth in biotechnology requires professionals who can successfully navigate both science and business. From developing cutting-edge health care products to figuring out how to shape policy for hazardous chemicals, they work each day to make the world healthier and safer. With a master’s in biotechnology and management, they’re better equipped to handle those challenges.

Program Format

The MSB program is designed for working adults in biotechnology or related industries. The Mount focuses on student success and emphasizes ethics and values.

  • Finish in only two years. 12 courses are offered in 8-week sessions, allowing you to focus on one class at a time.
  • Attend convenient classes. Meet part-time one night per week (6-9:30 p.m.). Our Frederick campus is minutes from I-70 and I-270. Hybrid and online classes may also be available.
  • Support from classmates and faculty. 24 students begin and end the program together, allowing you to connect with classmates. Classes begin in August.


  • Estimated total cost of tuition, including fees is $23,400.
    • Cost is based on 36 credits (12 courses) at $650 per credit.
  • Students may transfer in up to 9 credits.
    • Based on transcript analysis, prerequisite courses may be required for an additional cost ($415* per course).
