Course Sampling

The MBA program will guide you through coursework in management, finance, statistics, strategic marketing, information technology, and global business and economics. Topics in organization theory and management practice, strategic analysis and integrated decision making, and business ethics and social responsibility will also be covered. You'll also be able to select an area of concentration in finance, management or marketing to give your skillset a boost toward a career path of your choice. Course topics include:

Designed to fit your life

Flexibility and efficiency are the cornerstones of the MBA program at the Mount, which is designed to give you the freedom and control to balance work and school. Every aspect of the program is geared to help you earn your degree including:

  • Finish in 1-2 years. Twelve courses (36 credits) are offered in 8-week sessions. You can take 1-2 classes per session, or you can take a session off to go on vacation or focus on your family.
  • Attend convenient classes. Meet one night per week (6-9:30 p.m.). Our Frederick campus is minutes from I-70 and I-270. Online courses may also be offered, as well as courses at our Emmitsburg campus (based on space availability).
  • Earn a certificate or concentration without taking additional courses. Certificates are earned by substituting three MBA core classes and two MBA electives with five certificate courses. Concentrations are earned by taking two electives in an area of study in addition to the required core courses.

The MBA program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

This program is available to be completed fully online asynchronous and/or synchronous.

Affordability & Financial Aid

Graduate level programs are designed to be taken one course at a time, providing you the flexibility you need to complete the 5- and 8-week classes at your own pace; with that the program pricing is set by credit hours instead of by the year like traditional undergraduate programs.

  • $25,200 – Estimated total cost of program tuition.* No additional fees.
  • Cost is based on 36 credits (twelve (12) classes) at $700 per credit.
  • Peregrine Academic Services prerequisite courses may be needed based on transcript analysis at $44 per course.

*Tuition represents 2023-24 rates effective July 1, 2023. Tuition is subject to change without notice.

Financial Aid

Students enrolled on at least half-time basis (6-credits per semester) may qualify for financial aid. You may seek financial assistance through federal and state-funded programs, private loan providers, or deferment of undergraduate loans. The Mount also has a variety of employer tuition remission or reimbursement agreements with local businesses and community colleges, so you may just get a discount from your employer or previous college. Admissions & Application

Classes for the program begin in January, March, May, July, August and October; submitting your application six weeks before your expected start date ensures a priority application decision.

  • Classes begin: January, March, May, July, August, October
  • Admissions Deadline: Two weeks prior to the session start date
  • Priority Application Deadline: Six weeks prior to start of first course
  • No application fee

Application Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Students must demonstrate one of the following:
    • Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher or;
    • Five full years of relevant work experience or;
    • 500 minimum score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

* Additional requirements may be applicable to international students.
