Regardless of field, communication skills are vital. Medical researchers need support in publishing their breakthrough discoveries. Economists interpret data and need to share their findings with others. Government agencies benefit from those who can write press releases and speak to the public. And nonprofits must persuade others to support their causes. That’s what those in communication do each day. Advance your career with a degree in communication by attending online classes designed for working adults at Mount St. Mary’s University.
The Division of Continuing Studies strives to make it easy for adults to go back to school online on a part-time basis. It's important to us that you feel supported, can maintain your work-life balance, and have access to all of the resources you need to be a successful student.
Our faculty and advisors are here to work one-on-one with you to develop your degree plan, and to help keep you on track to finish your degree. We make the traditional college resources available to you to aid in your success, such as our Career Center, Writing Center, Library and Learning Services Office, just to name a few.

You may seek financial assistance through federal and state-funded programs, private loan providers, or deferment of undergraduate loans. The Mount also has a variety of employer tuition remission or reimbursement agreements with local businesses and community colleges, so you may just get a discount from your employer or previous college.
