The Division of Continuing Studies strives to make it easy for adults to go back to school on a part-time basis. It's important to us that you feel supported, can maintain your work-life balance, and have access to all the resources you need to be a successful student.

Our faculty and advisors are here to work one-on-one with you to develop your degree plan, and to help keep you on track to finish your degree. We make the traditional college resources available to you to aid in your success, such as our Career Center, Writing Center, library and Learning Services Office, just to name a few.

The online accelerated undergraduate degree in human services, B.S. is housed in the Mount’s Division of Continuing Studies. The program was designed with working adults in mind. It strives to make it easier to earn your college degree while maintaining a work-life balance. The fully online human services B.S. combines a cutting-edge curriculum with hands-on internships to prepare you to face the challenging and important work of helping others.

Format

  • Finish at your own pace. Courses are offered as a blend of synchronous and asynchronous online, year-round in 5- and 8-week sessions. Take the courses you need at your convenience.
  • Receive specialized support for online students. One-on-one advising and a customized degree plan are available and encouraged for all students.

Affordability & Financial Aid

  • $563 – Cost per credit.*
  • Employees of partnership organizations will receive 20% tuition discount for all credit-bearing courses.
  • Students may transfer in up to 75 credits through prior college, competency testing and credit for prior learning..
  • No application fee.

Financial Aid

Students enrolled on at least half-time basis (6-credits per semester) may qualify for financial aid. You may seek financial assistance through federal and state-funded programs, private loan providers, or deferment of undergraduate loans. The Mount also has a variety of employer tuition remission or reimbursement agreements with local businesses and community colleges, so you may just get a discount from your employer or previous college.

Admissions & Application

  • Classes begin: Year-round.
  • Admissions Deadline: Two weeks prior to the session start date.
  • Priority Application Deadline: Four weeks prior to the start of the first class.
  • No application fee.

Admissions Requirements

The Mount's accelerated undergraduate completion degree programs are for individuals looking to apply previous college credit toward a bachelor's degree or who are at the beginning of their undergraduate studies. Admissions requirements include:

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Students may transfer up to 75 credits from a two-year institution or 90 credits from a four-year institution.
