The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business has an impeccable reputation for producing successful business leaders. Welcome to the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University. We are at the cutting edge of business education with degree programs in accounting, business, economics, entrepreneurship, health administration and sport management. The Bolte School also offers graduate certificates in logistics and supply chain management, project management, organizational development, forensic accounting, and a collaborative program in data science. We are the home of the Palmieri Center for Entrepreneurship; the BB&T Center for the Moral Foundations of Capitalism; and Bloomberg Stock Trading Terminals. The Bolte School offers traditional programs on our main campus in Emmitsburg, accelerated undergraduate and graduate programs in Frederick, Maryland with some programs also in online or hybrid format. Graduates of the Bolte School are trained by world-class faculty and industry professionals, through classroom and experiential learning opportunities, to be ethical leaders who are inspired to lead lives of significance in service to God and others.

  • Clubs and Organizations

    The Bolte School sponsors several clubs and organizations: from major specific student clubs and honor societies to interactive events and experiential opportunities.

  • Internships

    The Bolte School encourages students to seek internship opportunities through the Career Center to extend their classroom learning and to enhance their attractiveness to prospective employees. Students have found jobs and internships with top firms such as the “Big Four”—PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG—as well as regional and local public accounting firms.

  • BB&T Center

    The BB&T Center for the Study of the Moral Foundations of Capitalism promotes student, faculty, community, and corporate discussions about the political, social, and economic strengths and challenges inherent in capitalism.

  • Palmieri Center

    The Palmieri Center for Entrepreneurship is an innovative student resource that provides skill building, mentorship and real-world experiences vital to the development of creative critical thinking. 

  • Bloomberg Finance Lab

    The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business Bloomberg Finance Lab provides real world experience for students in the fast-paced business and finance environment, training them to succeed in the constantly changing world of the global markets.
