Division of Graduate, Professional and Continuing Education

Life very rarely follows a straight path, and for many people, the educational journey is sometimes complicated. But the key is that it continues. The Division of Graduate, Professional and Continuing Education operates to assist those of you who want to earn an undergrad or graduate degree, but may not have the time to be a full-time student.

Our division operates from Mount St. Mary’s University Frederick campus, and offers convenient evening and online courses intended for working adults. Our faculty and staff are experts in their fields, but more importantly, they understand what it takes for working adults to make the commitment to earn their degree. And they are here to give you the support and encouragement to reach your goals.

A Message From the Associate Provost.

Welcome to the Mount’s Division of Graduate, Professional and Continuing Education. We are honored to have you here. We began serving working adult students with convenient evening or online classes in Frederick, Md. in 1999. For 20 years, we have been providing opportunities for adult students to achieve their higher education dreams! Whether you are a graduate or undergraduate student, you will find here a dynamic intersection of education and the real world. Some of our faculty are full-time university professors, while others are working professionals in their chosen careers by day and professors here by night. This combination helps students not only learn the concepts in their field of interest but also see how theory fits into concrete experience. We hope students will apply what they learn in our classrooms tonight in their workplaces tomorrow. We invite you to join us in writing the next chapter in our story … and yours.
