The Women in STEM (WSTEM) Leadership Scholarship at Mount St. Mary's University is designed to support rising sophomore, junior, and senior women majoring or minoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Environmental Science, Health Science, Mathematics or Neuroscience. This scholarship is funded through an endowment donated by the George I. Alden Trust.
Recipients of the WSTEM Leadership Scholarship will receive a housing scholarship. Scholarship winners must continue to show excellence and leadership in their area of expertise. Leadership may be demonstrated through roles such as tutors, student instructors, teaching assistants, research assistants; through pursuing research projects or internships on-campus or off-campus; active involvement in a science or mathematics club; or in other volunteer roles on the campus or in the community.
