Will your life’s journey take you around the globe? We have amazing adventures where you can travel for an entire semester, for your summer break or even just for a short “intensive” trip abroad. Traveling out of the country gives you a new perspective on the people and cultures of the world, as well as experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
Travel for a full semester and immerse yourself in language and culture.
The Coastal Semester is an experiential learning program that provides a solid academic framework for the study of environmental science that immerses students in coastal environments by traveling to multiple sites throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. As a member of a close-knit, motivated community, students will gain an understanding and appreciation for the coastal environment through an interdisciplinary program covering the biology and ecology of the coastal environment, as well as placing coastal issues in a historical and cultural context.

Discover the poetry and the beauty of Florence one sketch at a time. To draw is to make a mark, and every drawing —similar to a life— is an amassing of marks, constructing an artifact of experience and memory. This five-week course will give you the opportunity to explore Florence while creating a sketchbook filled with unforgettable memories of your experiences in the form of collage, journaling, watercolor paintings, drawings and more. Recommended for all levels of artistic ability from art novices to experienced artists. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to travel outside of Florence, including a trip to Venice to attend the Venice Biennale—the largest contemporary art exhibition in the world.
