Read through the online Graduate Student Resource and Orientation Tool

Log in to your MyMount account and access the Student Resource and Orientation Module located under the Student Resources tab. This section will be available to you throughout your time at the Mount and provides helpful information.

Register for Classes

After reviewing your degree plan and checking out the class schedule, you can register for your classes online through your MyMount account on the Registration tab. Course schedules are posted on MyMount Courses We Offer, simply choose the semester from the lefthand column. Please follow the easy step-by-step instructions on how to register on the MyMount training page. If you need any assistance with this, please reach out to your program director.

Log in to your Canvas account

The Mount’s learning management system used for your classwork is called Canvas. Canvas is the tool that instructors use to facilitate communication. You can find your course syllabus, Zoom link, important announcements, required textbooks, assignments, discussion boards, your grades as you progress through the course and more. Make sure you review each of your courses in Canvas a week or two before they begin, and check Canvas regularly while you are enrolled in the course.

Buy your textbooks

Go to the Mount’s bookstore and use the “textbooks” tab to find the textbooks needed for your courses.

Request your Mount student ID card

You will need your Mount ID card to access the Frederick campus building, as it is a secure facility. You can also use your Mount ID card to access sporting events, access the library and check out books and buy meals on the main campus. Click here to request your Mount card and upload your photo.

Pay for classes

You can pay for classes through MyMount. Payment arrangements must be made by the first week of class. Students may defer payment until 55 days after the class ends by paying a $40 deferment fee per sub-term. If a student account is in arrears for 2 sub-terms, a registration hold may be placed on the account until it is brought current. Contact the Accounting & Finance Office at 301-447-5353 or email with any questions about your bill or paying online. If you applied for financial aid, please reach out to the Financial Aid office at or at 301-447-5207.

If your classes are held at the Frederick campus, you will need your Mount student ID card to enter the building. Parking is free at the Frederick campus. If you are attending classes at the Emmitsburg campus or using any of the student services at the Emmitsburg campus, you will need to either register your vehicle with Public Safety or use a visitor parking space.
