We’re excited to review your application! You can check the status of your materials (whether they’ve been received) through your Application Status page. Once materials are received, the material will have a green check mark next to it.
You’ll receive an email confirmation letting you know you have a status update. You can then login to your application account and view the new status letter update linked on your account. If you don’t hear back after seeing your materials have been received, don’t hesitate to follow up with us.
When you decide to accept your offer, you’ll see a new form under your “Application Checklist” called Enrollment Decision Form. In order to move forward with your enrollment with us, you’ll need to let us know if you are enrolling. After you submit the form indicating your intention to enroll, you will receive your student account information via the email you provided to us. You’ll receive your email login, student account information, and instructions on how to access everything. Your next step then is to set up an advising appointment with your program director and enroll in classes!
All scholarships will be offered through the FAFSA process. You will need to complete your FAFSA first to see what scholarships and aid you’re available for. Check out our page here to learn more: https://msmary.edu/admissions/financial-aid/
Yes! Even if you find out you received the position first, you’ll still need to apply and be accepted into the graduate program.
You can! You’ll just need to notify us about your decision through the Enrollment Decision Form so we can update your account and get you ready for the semester you wish to enroll in.
Yes, you do. In order to figure out if you can receive financial aid packages, you’ll need a student account with us. You’ll need to accept the offer in order to have a student account created.
For our international applicants, you will need to supply your transcript and transcript evaluation, resume, and online application. If your education was not delivered in English or if your native language is not English, you will need to supply passing TOEFL or IELTS scores. If admitted into the program, you will need to supply a copy of your passport, financial affidavit, and fill out our International Student Information Form. You will then meet with the program’s DSO to work on your paperwork. Learn more about International Student Admissions at the Mount.
We have rolling admission so you can apply and start the enrollment process for the next enrollment term or semester. We’ll work with you to figure out what term or semester might work best for you.
We need your bachelor’s transcript showing your degree and conferral date. If you have taken some graduate level courses and want to transfer your credits, you will need to submit a transcript showing your courses. But you can send that transcript after you have been admitted if needed.
*Please note those applying to only certificate programs can’t transfer over any credits.
If you have not been an active student for longer than two academic years, you will need to reapply to your program to reactivate your account.
Yes, but we will pull that internally for you and upload your transcript to your application. If you graduated with your master’s from us and want to continue for your certificate program, you will need to apply again so we can update your student account. Please reach out to us so we can provide you with more information!
Mount St. Mary’s University offers highly competitive graduate assistantships to provide an opportunity for graduate students to further their knowledge in both academic and professional fields through involvement in different areas of the university. Graduate assistants receive an annual stipend and tuition remission in compensation for their service to the university. The graduate assistantship application is by invitation only for students who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, been admitted into a graduate degree program and completed the enrollment decision form.
