Discover How to Receive a Partnership Tuition Reduction

Mount St. Mary’s University aims to make education more accessible and affordable for our valued partners, empowering individuals to achieve their academic and professional goals through our Partnership Program.

As a valued partner of Mount St. Mary's University, your community college, organization, or employer has played a crucial role in removing a significant barrier that many students face - the cost of education. Through our esteemed Mount Partnership Program, we are proud to offer the following reductions in tuition:

  • A generous 20% tuition reduction for employees and dependents of our partnered organizations, graduates of our partnered community colleges, and members of partner organizations. This reduction applies to programs offered through the Division of Continuing Studies at our Frederick campus and Mount Online. It encompasses a wide range of educational opportunities, including accelerated/adult undergraduate programs, post-baccalaureate certificates, graduate programs, and post-graduate certificate programs. These programs can be pursued online, onsite or through a combination of both.
  • For employees and dependents of our partnered organizations who are under the age of 23 and registered as full-time students at Mount St. Mary's University's Emmitsburg campus, we offer an exceptional tuition reduction of at least 60%. This reduction applies specifically to our traditional in-person undergraduate programs, ensuring an enriching and immersive educational experience.

Current College & University Partners

Our partnerships with community colleges and universities allow graduates to continue working hard while earning their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Coupled with the Partnership Program offering graduates of partnered community colleges a reduction in tuition of 20%, our articulation agreements are flush with program specific transfer pathways offering a transfer friendly transition from associates to bachelor’s.

Note: Partnership discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts or graduate assistantships.

  • All Maryland Community Colleges
Students are eligible for the Maryland community college transfer discount if they have earned an associate degree from a Maryland community college and are enrolling in their first bachelor’s degree program at The Mount. Students who have previously completed a bachelor’s degree are not eligible, regardless of prior associate’s degree attainment or coursework completed at a community college.
  • Blue Ridge Community and Technical College
  • University of Maryland Eastern Shore

Tuition Discount for Active-Duty Military

The Mount’s Division of Continuing Studies honors the tuition assistance (TA) benefit for active-duty military students, reducing the tuition costs to $250 per credit hour for eligible students pursuing an accelerated undergraduate or graduate program. Appropriate documentation is required each semester. To be eligible for the reduced military tuition rate, you need to submit the following document:

  • Proof of service statement or letter: Provide a copy of a statement or letter that verifies your current service status in the military. This document should clearly indicate your active duty or reserve status.

All active-duty servicemembers (including Guard and Reserve) must contact their Education Service Officer (ESO) or Education Counselor within their branch of service prior to enrolling in any courses at Mount St. Mary’s University. For more information about military tuition assistance processes, visit Military OneSource’s website.

Each military branch has its own process and TA application form. For more information, view the links below.

TA DECIDE is an information and comparison tool designed specifically to aid participants of the DoD's Tuition Assistance program in making informed choices on schools and education programs.
