Yes, alumni who are not part of an official Reunion class but would like to attend are welcome to do so.

Is there a registration deadline?

What if I don't register before the deadline?

If you miss the Reunion registration deadline, you may register when you arrive on campus. Walk-up registration will be held in the McGowan Center in front of the Mount Bookstore.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration before Friday, May 19 by contacting the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@msmary.edu or by calling 301-447-5362.

Activities FAQs

What is there to do during Reunion?

Reunion Weekend includes many different events. You can participate in some or all – it's up to you. Among the weekend activities and programs are the following:

  • Brute Medal Alumni Banquet.
  • Mount Briefing with President Timothy E. Trainor, Ph.D.
  • Reunion Festival.
  • Class socials and dinners.
  • Entertainment each evening.

What is my Class event?

Each Reunion class holds their own evening event held on or off campus. This is a special time for classmates to reconnect and celebrate their reunion. Guests are welcome.

Will I have the opportunity to hear President Trainor speak?

Yes! On Saturday, President Trainor will give a first-hand update on life at the Mount in his annual Mount Briefing. He will talk about what has changed, what hasn't, and what the future holds, along with a Q&A period.

Will there be alcohol?

Beer and wine are included with your class socials as well as the Brute Medal Alumni Banquet. Beer and wine are also available for purchase during the Reunion Festival. For all other Reunion events, alumni and guests must provide their own alcohol.

The university also offers an AA/Al-Anon meeting during the weekend.

Travel and Accommodations FAQs

Where should I go when I arrive?

Please visit the Main Lobby of the McGowan Center (infront of the Bookstore) to check-in.

What will COVID guidelines be for the weekend?

Mount St. Mary’s will follow all CDC, state, and local COVID guidelines for reunion weekend that are in place come June. We do not require that attendees be vaccinated for reunion weekend, however we encourage vaccination according to the CDC recommendations.

What if the weather is bad?

Some events may be moved inside, but in traditional Mount spirit, our Reunion celebrations will continue rain or shine.

What are my housing options for the weekend?

During Reunion Weekend, we open up several dorms on campus as well as set-up room blocks in local area hotels. On-campus housing prices vary on building, room size, and length of stay.

Information on campus housing and a list of local area hotels can be found above.

Are the rooms air conditioned? Do they have private bathrooms?

All rooms will have either central AC or window units. The majority of the dorm rooms do not have private bathrooms. They are the same dormitories that you remember from your years as a student – communal bathrooms and all!

More information on campus housing options, including specific details about rooms in each building, can be found above.

Are there refrigerators in the rooms?

No. Unfortunately all refrigerators and microwaves will be removed from the rooms when students leave campus. Apartments will still have refrigerators in the kitchens. We recommend bringing a large cooler to keep your beverages cold.

I am staying on campus. What should I bring?

Included with your housing registration are basic sheets, a pillow, blanket and a set of towels. We do, however, recommending you bring the following:

  • Additional pillow, blanket, towels.
  • Sunscreen/bug spray.
  • Phone charger.
  • Comfortable summer clothes (be sure to check the weather in the days prior to the weekend to adequately pack for rain, heat, cold, etc.).

Dorm rooms do not have fridges, freezers or microwaves so we also recommend you bring your own cooler to keep you beverages cold.

May I use the pool, gym and other athletics facilities?

Yes. The ARCC will be open to alumni during Reunion weekend for limited hours.

Can I bring my pet with me?

Pets are allowed on campus grounds, but not in campus buildings unless you have a medical need. Please look for local kennels or speak to local hotels/rentals about pet accommodations.

I have some particular needs related to accessibility. What should I do?

Mount St. Mary's is committed to making its campus accessible to persons with disabilities. However, not all areas of campus are fully accessible. Individuals who have accessibility questions should contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at 301-447-5362 or alumni@msmary.edu.
