Reunion Weekend

Reunion Registration has closed, but Walk-Ups are still welcome!

Reunion Weekend 2024 registration has closed at this time, however Walk-Up registration is welcome all weekend. Vist registration in Upper McGowan to learn more and register when you arrive to campus. We look forward to seeing you!

Mount St. Mary's alumni whose class years end in 4 or 9 will be specifically celebrated during Reunion Weekend 2024 from June 6-9. Join us for a weekend full of friends, food, and entertainment!

Reunion Housing Accommodations

Reunion housing accommodations and pricing are available through our registration portal. To reserve your housing, please complete the Reunion Registration portal.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our alumni and Mount community. Public safety officers patrol the campus, including residence halls, throughout the day and night.

Reunion Golf Information

Grab your clubs and some friends to enjoy a great day out on the course during the Annual Alumni Golf Tournament!

There are four options for campus housing:

Apartments Pricing

Apartments are air conditioned, and include a kitchen, common room, single beds and one bathroom.

5-Person Apartment

  • Friday – $305 per apartment.
  • Friday and Saturday – $615 per apartment.

3-Person Apartment

  • Friday– $185 per apartment.
  • Friday and Saturday – $350 per apartment.

2-Person Apartment

  • Friday – $135 per apartment.
  • Friday and Saturday – $250 per apartment.

Powell Hall (Formerly Bicentennial) Pricing

Powell Hall is air conditioned, and includes a common room, single beds and one bathroom.

4-Person Suite

  • Friday– $260 per suite.
  • Friday and Saturday – $510 per suite.

3-Person Suite

  • Friday– $190 per suite.
  • Friday and Saturday – $365 per suite.

2-Person Suite

  • Friday– $145 per suite.
  • Friday and Saturday – $250 per suite.

Single Suite

  • Friday– $60 per suite.
  • Friday and Saturday – $115 per suite.

Sheridan Pricing

Sheridan Hall includes in-window air conditioning, single beds and a shared hall bathroom.  

4-Person Rooms

  • Friday – $180 per room.
  • Friday and Saturday – $350 per room.

3-Person Room

  • Friday – $145 per room.
  • Friday and Saturday – $280 per room.

2-Person Room

  • Friday – $90 per room.
  • Friday and Saturday – $175 per room.

Single Room

  • Friday– $50 per room.
  • Friday and Saturday – $90 per room.

Cottages Pricing

The Cottages contain single and a few double person rooms with two shared bathrooms and a shared living space with kitchen.

Alumni House

  • Offers six guest rooms. The first floor has two guest rooms each with two twin size beds. The second floor has four guest rooms each with one queen size bed.

First Floor Two Story Cottage

  • Offers accommodations for fourteen with a shared bathroom. The rooms consist of six singles and four doubles.

Second Floor Two Story Cottage

  • Offers accommodations for fifteen with a shared bathroom. The rooms consist of seven singles and four doubles.

The Class of 1964 Cottage

  • Offers ten single rooms with two shared bathrooms. 

The Class of 1968 Cottage

  • Offers twelve single rooms with two shared bathrooms.

Campus Accommodations - Things to Know

Remember that campus rooms do not offer hotel amenities, but the following services are available:

  • Bed linens and towels will be provided to all guests. You may wish to bring an extra blanket or towel, pillow, and don't forget your shower shoes!
  • All rooms will have either central AC or a window AC unit.
  • Microfridges are no longer provided in the dormitories. Remember to bring your cooler.
  • Other items to remember include an alarm clock, reading lamp, utensils/cooking equipment and ice if you are staying in the apartments.

Safety and Security

  • Access to the residence halls will be given to the residents of the hall during Reunion Weekend, each room/suite/apartment has an individual lock as well. 
  • Keys will only be provided to those guests occupying that room.
  • There will be a $75 charge for lost keys. 
  • Public Safety officers patrol the campus, including residence halls, throughout the day and night.

Special Needs

  • Requests for accessible housing may be made through the housing registration form.
  • For other housing requests, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at 301-447-5362.

Check-In and Late Arrivals

Registration will be in the McGowan Center on:

  • Friday, from 12 p.m.-7 p.m.
  • Saturday, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

If you arrive on campus after registration closes, you can pick up your room key at Public Safety.

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is not permitted in any building on campus.
  • Smoking is only allowed outdoors, and smokers must remain 15 feet away from buildings and residence halls.
  • A $100 cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in a room.

Parking

  • Please observe all campus parking regulations including no-parking zones and handicap spaces.
  • Ample parking will be available for Reunion attendees in designated lots – please look for signs when you arrive on campus.

The Brute Award will be awarded to Lynne Phelan Robinson C'79, MBA'83, Daniel J. McMahon, Ph.D. C'80, and Robert J. Smith C'64, the Distinguished Young Alumni Award is given to Bryden Grant Pelletier MBA'14.

Registration FAQs

How much does Reunion Weekend Cost?

To offer you the greatest flexibility in designing your weekend itinerary, all Reunion events are set up for registration a la carte. There will be a one-time $15 registration fee for each registrant participating in Reunion. This registration fee partially subsidizes general Reunion overhead costs like registration refreshments, tent rentals, student-worker wages, Reunion Festival and nightly entertainment.

Are non-Reunion classes invited?

Yes, alumni who are not part of an official Reunion class but would like to attend are welcome to do so.

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes. The online registration deadline is Friday May 10, 2024.

What if I don't register before the deadline?

If you miss the Reunion registration deadline, you may register when you arrive on campus. Walk-up registration will be held in the McGowan Center in front of the Mount Bookstore.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration before May 24 by contacting the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@msmary.edu or by calling 301-447-5362.

Please note if you have made reservations with a local hotel to please contact them directly to cancel your reservation.

What is there to do during Reunion?

Reunion Weekend includes many different events. You can participate in some or all – it's up to you. Among the weekend activities and programs are the following:

  • Alumni Banquet.
  • Presidents Farewell Briefing with President Timothy E. Trainor, Ph.D.
  • Reunion Festival.
  • Class socials and dinners.
  • Entertainment each evening.

What is my Class event?

Each Reunion class holds their own evening event held on campus. This is a special time for classmates to reconnect and celebrate their reunion. Guests are welcome.

Will I have the opportunity to hear President Trainor speak?

Yes! On Saturday, President Trainor will give a first-hand update on life at the Mount in his annual Mount Briefing. He will talk about what has changed, what hasn't, and what the future holds, along with a Q&A period.
