Registration FAQs

How much does Reunion Weekend Cost?

To offer you the greatest flexibility in designing your weekend itinerary, all Reunion events are set up for registration a la carte. There will be a one-time $15 registration fee for each registrant participating in Reunion. This registration fee partially subsidizes general Reunion overhead costs like registration refreshments, tent rentals, student-worker wages, Reunion Festival and nightly entertainment.

Are non-Reunion classes invited?

Yes, alumni who are not part of an official Reunion class but would like to attend are welcome to do so.

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes. Reunion registration opens February 1, and the online registration deadline is May 24.

What if I don't register before the deadline?

If you miss the Reunion registration deadline, you may register when you arrive on campus. Walk-up registration will be held in the McGowan Center in front of the Mount Bookstore. Please note that housing options will be limited by this time.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Cancellations will be refunded until May 24.

Travel and Accommodations FAQs

Where should I go when I arrive on campus?

When you arrive on campus, your first stop will be registration which is held in McGowan, in front of the bookstore. At registration, you will receive your name tag, event tickets, room keys and other class and event information. If you did not register prior to arriving on campus, stop by registration to get a name tag and purchase event tickets. There will be separate lines for those that have pre-registered and those that did not.

What if the weather is bad?

Some events may be moved inside, but in traditional Mount spirit, our Reunion celebrations will continue rain or shine.

What are my housing options for the weekend?

During Reunion Weekend, we open up several dorms on campus as well as set-up room blocks in local area hotels. On-campus housing prices vary on building, room size, and length of stay.

Information on campus housing and local hotel accomodations can be found above.

Are the rooms air conditioned? Do they have private bathrooms?

Rooms in Terrace, Powell and the Apartments are air conditioned. The majority of the dorm rooms do not have private bathrooms. They are the same dormitories that you remember from your years as a student – communal bathrooms and all!

More information on campus housing options, including specific details about rooms in each building, can be found above.

Are there refrigerators in the rooms?

No. Unfortunately all refrigerators and microwaves will be removed from the rooms when students leave campus. Apartments will still have refrigerators in the kitchens. We recommend bringing a large cooler to keep your beverages cold.

Can I bring my pet with me?

Pets are allowed on campus grounds, but not in college housing or campus buildings unless you have a medical need. Please look for local kennels or speak to local hotels/rentals about pet accommodations.

I have some particular needs related to accessibility. What should I do?

Mount St. Mary's is committed to making its campus accessible to persons with disabilities, however, not all areas of campus are fully accessible. Individuals who have accessibility questions should contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at 301-447-5362 or alumni@msmary.edu.

I am staying on campus. What should I bring?

Included with your housing registration are basic sheets, a pillow, blanket and a set of towels. We do, however, recommending you bring the following:

  • Additional pillow, blanket, towels.
  • Sunscreen/bug spray.
  • Phone charger.
  • Comfortable summer clothes (be sure to check the weather in the days prior to the weekend to adequately pack for rain, heat, cold, etc.).

Dorm rooms do not have fridges, freezers or microwaves so we also recommend you bring your own cooler to keep you beverages cold.

May I use the pool, gym and other athletics facilities?

Yes. The ARCC will be open to alumni during Reunion weekend for limited hours.
