The first workshop this semester in the Transforming the Mount professional development certificate program for employees will be HR 108: Student Employee Essentials. Facilitated by Kristin Hurley, it will be offered on Tuesday, January 27 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in O’Hara Dining Room and by Zoom. This workshop counts toward the Human Resources track.
This session provides student employment hiring managers and supervisors with the knowledge and tools to successfully employ student workers at the Mount. Participants will learn how to navigate the hiring process, from posting positions and reviewing applications to onboarding and training student employees. The session also covers best practices for supporting students during their employment, including compliance and supervision. Whether you are new to student employment or seeking to enhance your approach, this workshop offers practical guidance to ensure a positive and productive experience for both students and departments.
Please register in advance. Register as soon as possible so we can place an accurate order for lunch. You can use the same registration link to sign up for other professional development workshops offered this Spring.
