The next workshop this semester in the Transforming the Mount professional development certificate program for employees will be SES 103: Creating a Culture of Welcome. Facilitated by Rosie Bolen, it will be offered on Wednesday, February 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in O’Hara Dining Room and by Zoom. This workshop counts toward the Solidarity, Engagement, & Success track, and is for Mount employees only.
This workshop explores the concept of radical hospitality—a practice rooted in Catholic Social Teaching that goes beyond politeness to offer deep, intentional welcome. This approach calls us to recognize and respond to the needs of those who may feel unseen or unsure of their place. Creating a culture of welcome means fostering an environment where every person is not only invited in, but also feels valued and empowered to thrive. Through reflection and real-life campus examples, participants will consider how their everyday actions can open doors, build trust, and strengthen our shared sense of community at the Mount.
Register in advance as soon as possible so we can place an accurate order for lunch. You can use the same registration link to sign up for other professional development workshops offered this Spring.
