The Entrepreneurship Club is excited to welcome Mount alumnus Mr. Bill Wittland, C’74, as our upcoming guest speaker on March 10 at 1 p.m. in Knott AC 323. A graduate of Mount St. Mary’s College with a B.S. in psychology and a minor in philosophy, Bill began his professional journey serving ten years as a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Grand Rapids. He later pivoted into the business world, building a dynamic career as a writer, agency partner, executive leader and design consultant.
In this engaging session, Bill will reflect on the foundational ideas that began at the Mount and shaped his unique path—exploring the intersection of faith and knowledge, art and science, strategy and spontaneity, and the power of place and perspective. His story highlights how critical thinking, purpose, and adaptability can guide meaningful career transitions and long-term success.
This event is a Business School Professional Development Point opportunity and is open to all students interested in leadership, entrepreneurship and purposeful career growth. Join us for an inspiring conversation on how Mount values can influence both business and life.

Even the simplest tools can play surprising roles in cybersecurity incidents around the world. Join the Mount's Security Operations Center (SOC) on March 16 at 4 p.m. in Coad 158 for a breakdown of how a vulnerability in Notepad++, a widely used text editor, became an unexpected target for threat actors. In this session, we'll explore reports of what happened and the broader impacts to security. You'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at how security teams like the Mount's SOC detect, investigate and respond to these types of threats.
Whether you're looking for a technical debrief or just curious about how cybersecurity incidents like this can unfold, this talk will show how even "small" tools can have large-scale implications for organizations world-wide.
