School of Natural Science and Mathematics

Enrollment in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics has exploded, rising by 30% in the last several years. Here you’ll find some of the most advanced scientific research imaginable—from Ebola to biochemistry, sustainability and beyond. Our newest majors include cybersecurity, neuroscience and data science.

We are known for our wide array of majors and programs, low-student-to-faculty ratio and mentoring faculty. Faculty sit at the research bench with students. Science majors also receive additional instruction in chemistry through a recitation program designed to improve student mastery of course material. Senior psychology majors present posters that reflect many hours of work on a faculty-mentored research project. The halls of Coad Science Building are abuzz throughout the summer with students conducting summertime research projects.
